Maddie Campbell, Medical Assistant at SourceMD
Maddie is a Medical Assistant and certified Phlebotomoist for SourceMD. She was born and raised in San Diego and is now a Public Health undergraduate at UC San Diego. Maddie dedicates her time as a UCSD Student Health Advocate, Encinitas Rotaract Service Director, Pathmaker Intern at Palomar Hospital, and Clinic Director for the International Health Collective where she helps run free monthly pop-up clinics in rural Mexico.
Maddie went to a bilingual elementary school where Spanish became a very important part of her life early on, and hopes she can utilize her bilingual skills in her future career. Maddie aspires to one day become a Physician Assistant so she can create sustainable approaches to improve health in underserved communities. In her free time, she enjoys running, travel, photography, and being outside.
Bailey Boka, Medical Assistant at SourceMD
Bailey Boka is one of Dr. Larson’s medical assistants and is a recent graduate of the University of California, Davis where she studied genetics and genomics. While at Davis, Bailey interned at the MIND Institute working on a clinical research study involving genetic and environmental risks for autism and developmental delay. Bailey is passionate about providing quality healthcare to all patients and aspires to become a Physician Assistant. Bailey feels incredibly lucky to be a part of SourceMD where patients are treated like family. In her free time she enjoys yoga and playing beach volleyball with friends.
Liz Kemp, Medical Assistant at SourceMD
Liz currently works as a medical assistant and certified Phlebotomoist to Dr. Larson. She is currently a senior at Cal State San Marcos pursuing a degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology with plans to apply to medical school. Liz was previously involved in research under Dr.Paulina Ordonez at the Goldstein Lab at the University of California San Diego. In her research she studied Human induced pluripotent stem cells to model Niemann Pick Type C1, a rare neurological disease, in aims of finding potential therapies. Passionate about health and wellness she has practiced and taught yoga for over ten years. She currently teaches yoga classes and workshops in north county San Diego. She enjoys spending her free time surfing, and enjoying the company of her family and friends as well as her dog hank. She hopes to continue living a purposeful and happy life and feels grateful to have the opportunity to share wellness with others through her career.
